Does Reduce Motion on the iphone 5S really save battery?

I don't like the simple cross fade animation when reduce motion is on, so I want to turn it off again, but I'm wondering does it really kill that much battery?

    Haven't heard anything to that extent.

    I leave it on because i dont like the animation and when you have it off and the animation is on it does kill some battery
