When should we take our vacation to Disney World? *read description*?

My family and I are taking a vacation to Disney World for my 16th birthday. My birthday is in July, so it would probably be sometime during the summer. This is our first vacation there, and may be our only vacation there. Money is tight for us, so this is a real treat. Anyways, my plan was to go in mid-august where the lines are a little bit lighter compared to the june and july months. However, apparently the weater is horrendous, raining every day and it's super humid and sticky. I don't want our vacation there to be rainy and gross, I mean it's one thing to be hot, I can live with that I mean it's Florida for gosh sakes. BUT I don't want it to rain every five seconds or be really super humid. Would it be better going in june or july? or maybe even september? I would love to go in October, but that is definetly NOT an option for my family which sucks. I don't even think September is an option, I don't know what to do. ): Is mid-august weather really that bad? If so, would June or July be better?

Mid-August is about as hot and humid as it gets (and Sept isn't much better, really). If you can go in early June, the crowds are still a bit lighter than in late June and throughout July, and it's not quite as hot (but still hot and humid).

The rain isn't so bad. It might rain every day, but just for a very short while before it clears up and becomes sunny again. It is also sporadic in its location. It might be raining in one area, and not in another area just 15 miles away.

If you can only go in the summer, then I suggest as early in June or as late in August as possible. You won't really escape the heat and humidity much, but you might escape the peak crowds.

Remember to bring sunblock and drink lots of water!

Ok... Rain in Florida is not like rain in other parts of the country.

When it rains in Florida in August, it usually rains for about 20-30 minutes, and then it's done. The showers roll through in the mid-late afternoon, and then they're done.

It gets hot and sticky, yes; but June, July, and August are going to be your hotter, more humid months. There is no getting around that. The less hot, and humid weather won't occur within your vacation time frame.

There will be no getting around the heat and humidity during the time frame you wish to go. Sorry, but that's just not going to change.

The rain won't be bothersome at all and since many (but not all) things at Disney World are inside, the rain will be even less of an issue. Everything is air conditioned at Disney as well, so it isn't like there won't be breaks from the heat/humidity.

The most I can say is dress appropriately to combat the heat and humidity. Wear shorts and t-shirts (with plenty of sunscreen), and tie your hair back and consider wearing a hat. Drink lots of water to replenish yourself.

Because of my career path, it is rare that I get the opportunity to vacation at any other time besides June, July, or August.

Someone has given you very bad information regarding rain in Central Florida - It is not anything like

New York or Philadelphia. Sure in August there will still be crowds but the rainfall is for m maybe half an hour at one time. You never have dreary dismal all days drizzles, At Walt Disney World, the locals know to get out of the rain quickly as possible and it is very easy at Disney to find air conditioned shelter. During the storms there is always a lightening danger. If you see at the parks people staying out in the rain, they are visitors from many other places. Also we have had many years with more rain in July than in August. NO It won't rain every five seconds.

We went in August and honestly, it doesn't rain as much as everyone thinks. We were there for three weeks and I definitely didn't rain on more than 8 days! It is VERY hot but it's so amazing that I would happily go again any time of the year!
