Why don't more people use Tracfone? I've been using them for years and love the idea.?

People associate prepaid with poor people and drug dealers. Also, Americans are not the best at math. They'll see $99 on contract for $100/month and think it's better than $600 off contract for $45 month. They also don't understand how pre paid networks work. They think it's a different company and they'll have bad service. They don't know it's the same network.

I'm with you though.. Pre paid is the way to go. People just need to be educated on it.

Many people are switching to Net10 and Straight Talk which are both divisions of Tracfone wireless. I hope people using prepaid phones becomes the norm. I have always use Tracfone or Net10 and even though I have had a few problems with a few phones, I will continue to use Net10.
