Christmas over and reality sets in. How many?

I agree about the practices of the holidays. But I wouldn't call them "a bunch of pagan heathens" because they have feelings and may not have the same understanding as we do.

Edit-Yeah, the people at the time were pagans. But people who observe it now may not like to be called that. My former room mate was talking about how she told a man she knew about the origins of Christmas. Then later she called him a pagan. She was half-joking but another sister said to her: "Maybe you should not say that. He could become offended."

That kind of Christmas spending is rooted in irrational compulsion, or is due to experiencing love through giving and receiving gifts (not everyone sees the essence of love as being that).

Getting drunk on New Year's Eve might be just a bad habit for some. There's no real sense to it. Why on New Year's? Even if I was into getting drunk a lot, I'd rather watch some nice movie at home or something, instead of being out in the freezing cold with a bunch of drunk drivers and other obnoxious humans.

My friend you are referring to the catholic sect or group of people who are prepared to become antichrist at that time, they twisted the word of God written in the Holy Scriptures/Bible. Therefore they are not Christians. They are known as the pseudo Christians. They have convinced and misled many [Matthew 24:24] and for thousands of years they join the conquerors and/or explorers of other countries so they can spread the false religion and established a power as spiritual power but actually to establish power that can earn wealth by using the word of God in a twisted and antichrist way, e.g., fees for all services of sect such as marriage fee, baptismal fee, missal fee, confirmation fee, aside from these they engaged in educational school also for a fee, also tax exemptions from all the earnings and importations of this group and most of all, since most the politicians and government officials belong to their religious group they can influence the decisions of these government officials to favor their platform or program.

You are right in your observation of this sect's celebration of the birth of Jesus which is not written in the Holy Scriptures/Bible. The day they use is December 25 which is the feast of the pagan sun god in order to have a blending of the pagan god and their group's and they make graven images of their gods and saints that they can worship and serve kneel before these graven images which is strictly prohibited by the God written in the Holy Scriptures/Bible in [Deuteronomy 5:7-9] and Exodus 20:2-5].

Yes, winter solstice IS from pagan sources. God cast off those who practiced it in Biblical times, so why would he approve of it now?
