The Xperia Z and Z1 are better than the S3.
If you're looking at a new phone in the same price bracket as the S3, there's the Nexus 5, which is far better than the S3 and arguably the S4.
If you want a phone that offers similar performance to the S3. But at a much lower price, the Motorola Moto G is a brilliant choice.

The S4 is better than the S3 by far. It has a more powerful processor, better graphics and a full 1080p HD display
