what is it like to get a septum piercing?

I would like to know specifically please only answer if you have some kind of experience with septum piercings !!

Like, how bad is the initial pain/healing process etc. ? Also, how do you know if your sweet spot isn't big enough because i've heard that's possible? And, what is the best jewelry to get so that you can flip it up into your nose to hide it, and how long will it be until you can flip it back down/change the jewelry? thank you !!!

The pain is very little and the process is about 3 seconds or less to get the needle through and 5 to get the jewelry in. Your sweet spot is right between the nostril skin and the hard cartilege that is farther back. I suggest you get a black ring with points or a pincher because the ball ones feel uncomfortable for me personally. It heals within 3 months and you should probably keep it down often because it may heal upwards. Like when you go to put it down it might roll back up inside of your nose.

Ive had my septum twice and it really doesnt hurt, probably the least painful one I have next to ear lobes. I flipped mine up the next day for work and it was fine didnt hurt or anything, I'm sure they make smaller septum rings but I use an eyebrow ring in mine.
