What are fun things to do at a New Years Eve party besides drinking?
I'm a teenager and im having people over for new years eve. I don't consider it a party cause i feel like party means drinking.
My parents would never let me have alcohol and i dont want people thinking im that kind of girl.
I need a few fun ideas of things we can do as games.
They're gona be there 7:30-12....
I am having lots of food and the ball drop will be on. I have the game apples to apples and thats always fun...
Got any other ideas?
I'm just looking for a fun time that we can remember the next day!
I want people to think "That was really fun, im glad i went!"

Hi Julia - you do not need alcohol for it to be a party. Who ever gave you that foolish idea? You need party hats and noise makers for midnight. Charades and Pictionary are both great ideas. Lots of fun and everyone plays. What about Twister? Depending on the number of people you may need more than one. How about a New Year Pinata? Silly but fun. Try some REALLY silly childhood games like musical chairs and pin the tail on the donkey. I KNOW - they are silly and kind of childish but who cares? They are also lots of laughs. Have some small prizes for the winners of your games. Special party hats and noise makers for the winners or a small bag of candy or baked goods. Move the furniture and make room for dancing. What about renting a movie? A comedy. No blood and guts or heavy drama or shoot 'em ups. What about face painting?
Last year I went to a grown up party and the hostess had a face painter. We played "KID" games. Everyone had a blast. Probably the best party of the decade.
Hoe you have a blast.
Happy New Year

-Play Games with or without prizes. If you're having friends over this would be a nice incentive to get them to play. Group games like Pictionary,Scattergories, Taboo, Cranium,Battle of the Sexes(I've played this one a few times during parties.) etc.

-Build a Ginger Bread house or whatever you want to out of graham crackers, icing and an array of candy.
-Eat ; A large array of snacks and appetizers. Cold and warm, but make sure the warm ones can be kept in a pot or slow cooker without much attention. So you can enjoy your own party.
*You can get Sparkling juice to toast with at midnight. I've purchased some for relatives who don't drink. And then just for fun some plastic Champagne glasses!
*Don't forget hats and noise makers! They're not just for children you know!? :)

Charades, that one where you have to draw things on paper and have your team guess what it is (I'm blanking right now, Pictionary?), some form of Whose Line is it Anyway?. Anything that gets everyone laughing and involved.
