Why is school so utterly boring, depressing and dull? What can I do?
School is so dull for me, I dread it every day of my life and I go to a French school so I have to deal with Frogs every single day. I've felt this way since I was in nursery up to Highschool. School has always felt like prison to me, I spend 180 out of 365 days in it each year and will continue to do so for another 2-3 years (If i dont get held back but seeing I'm not a great student most likely will). Not to mention my parents WANT me to go to university so thats like another 4+ years of more schooling, but they tell me Uni is different and its going to be an experience but seeing the amount of college students that suffer everyday especially with finals just makes me dread uni even more.
Out of my 12 waking hours I spend approximately 9 hours and 20 minutes of them in class, it feels like torture. I am only interested in one of the nine classes I have to take, and even my interest in that is minimal, and given the opportunity I would opt out of participation in it, and any other classes I take.
My teachers are a nightmare day in day out, with each one ramming homework down our throats. My french teacher for instance thinks he's the ONLY teacher out there so he takes the liberty to give us so much work that I can't even imagine finishing it. My math teacher is a guy with a noble heart who just loves his subject so much, but he's just so boring in class that I struggle to keep my eyes open. English being probably the only subject where I ace it with minimal effort is utterly boring and useless that if I don't attend the lesson during the whole year my Grade point average in it wouldn't change. I could go on forever with this about my teachers...
Then of course, I finish at 5 PM (Start at 7) so thats like 9-10 hours in class, well 8 because we've got a break. But I come back at 5 and I do rugby you see to relieve my stress of the day because without that I'd probably start punching random people on the street, but now my dad is threatening to make me stop it because my grades are crap and that just devastated me so much. Why should I stop something I'm good at and enjoy so I can do something I hate? Isn't that just wrong? Don't tell me its for a better future, I've been fed that lie so many times. Look at all the college graduates who can't find jobs anymore.
I've always been told I was a smart guy, because I spoke 4 languages fluently and that I had so much potential and that I was a very good kid in general but I'm convinced that the typical lie all teachers say. I mean seriously they act as if we should be devoted to school and ONLY school. I'll end up having to submit to what everyone tells me, stop rugby, go to school, listen, obey, work. Rinse and repeat. I absolutely loathe school and I want out of it so badly. I hate it this much and yet I don't have the confidence to admit these things to my parents.
I'm looking for real answers, solutions, and good contribution, not the typical petty reassurances that I can expect of my relatives and schoolmates. Thanks

If you hate school so much just drop out and stop complaining. If dropping out is not an option for you just suck it up and deal with it. Everyone has to go through things they don't like.
I was always told I was very smart too because I know everything about science that was taught in school easily, my mother's a scientist.
I stuck it out and went to college, finished three years, and then said screw it so I could open ny own business.
You gotta do what you gotta do kid; just have a plan.

The Government is basically making school boring as hell so kids don't become more smart then they have to.

That's to prepare you for the extra-boring, soul-socking, dullness of every day life after college, where you will become trapped into the depressingly routine life of a Soccer Dad, occasionally getting to make love to your equally depressed desperate housewife, but with lackluster and unfulfilling results.
Welcome to the New Age…to the New Age. Welcome to the World, sucka'.
(Hope this helped.)

Like what I was told when I was bored, create something in your mind, a song, a poem, a story, a building, anything. If you are bored, then you are not using your brain to it's potential.
