Working for Student loan forgiveness question?
My cousin was explaining to me the other day regarding working for a non profit for student loan forgiveness...is there a website or number I can call about this? I do not know much about it at all--thanks.

There is a Public Service Forgiveness program for federal student loans. In a nutshell, if you work for a public service organization and make 120 on time payments, the balance of the loan will be forgiven. On the surface of it, it sounds like it wouldn't work because if you had a standard repayment plan, the loan would be paid off after 120 payments. But with this program, you are set up with an income based payment plan which generally has lower payments and a longer loan term, so after the 120 payments you would still have a significant balance left.
