How much fish oil in 2400 mg?
I was told to give my dog 2400 mg of fish oil every day to alleviate symptoms of neuropathy (weak muscles). How many teaspoons would that be? Any advice will be helpful.
P.S. My vet was the one who advised it. He's a very old-school, conservative veterinarian with many years' experience. My dog is nearly 16 and she's not going to be around for too much longer. I'm looking at quality of life, not longevity.
Fish oil does come in liquid form. I have a bottle in my fridge right now. You can buy fish oil cheap or get a really good brand. I buy only the good brands.

mg is a weight not a volume. You know those clear golden capsules of vitamin E, it would be like 2 of those worth (less than a teaspoon).

Wow - did a vet recommend that? It would increase the chance of pancreatitis, and not all fish oils are digestible anyway. Cod liver oil is high in Omega 3 but its not digestible so passes straight through.

Some brands of egg are actually a better source of digestible omega 3.

Fish oil will actually destroy Vit E, not supply it.

Vit E is fat soluble and an overdose is as dangerous as a shortage. Make sure the person giving the advice is a vet, fish oil is not given for Vit E shortage.

Fish oil is great for dogs. It has a lot of health benefits (and no it won't cause pancreatitis) Fish oil is great for joints ,heart, brain, immune system as well as coats & skin. It is a great supplement for all dogs/puppies. My own dogs get it every day as do my vets dogs. I work at a vet hospital and it is highly recommended to our clients. It is great for dogs that have stiffness from arthritis & hip dysplasia. It helps make them more comfortable.

Those come in liquigels. But if your vet didn't tell you this you may actually want to consult your vet and get your dog tested rather than just somebody off the street that may not know what is really going on with your dog.

I dont think youll get sick besides an upset stomach, but if you want to be sure you can Call poison control, in fact there will be an overdose warning on the bottle if theres concern

For the past 3 years I have suffered daily with neuropathy. Well it’s been just 1 week and I just cannot put into words how brilliant my results have been. I have absolutely no more hyper sensitivity and no more agonizing burning pains. I can’t explain it, but this thing works. I thank you from the bottom of my heart for sharing your secret with me.
