girlfriend says I'm "clingy"?

So we've been in our telationship for about six months, the first 3 were long distance. Now that she's here all of a sudden I'm too clingy, but yet she says she misses those long messages I used to send her. I've tried my best to make our relationship the best for both. Many friends and family tell me not to try too hard, yet I feel like it's not enough.

I came in to this relationship depressed in so many ways but not because of another or anything like that

When we started it was amazing, I couldn't believe that the girl I wanted to be with for so long felt the same for me.

Anyway I can't hug, kiss, smile, and sometimes she won't even let me look into her eyes, only when she wants to. This naturally makes me act like an *** not because I don't get what I want but because I feel like she doesn't want me to do anything like that

Then she gets mad when I don't hug, kiss, look at her when she wants

And if I don't text her it infuriates her

I don't know what to do
