in the new format how do I email someone?

click on your name; it shows when you joined and under that it says "email" -- if you don't see that, then the person doesn't accept emails.

On the new format there is a little tiny blue envelope and that is their email. If it is not there then it is not open.

You still can send a email if it is open in other countries by doing it the same way we used to do it in the USA.

Try to find her in the old format first if you want.

I am using the old green format on the Canada site. I click on the avatar and if they accept emails it will says so.
