If God exists "outside of time" how did he go from a state prior to the creation to the creation?

Since "prior to the creation" implies a time that precedes a separate time in which the creation takes place.

Please, don't tell me that God is omnitemporal. Being in all times at once is not being "outside of time." In fact, I'm pretty certain that being in all times at once is the opposite of being "outside of time."

Update:

@Larry: Forgive me if I misunderstand your argument, but the directionality of time is not at issue. To move in any direction in time is to be "in time," not "outside of time."

Update 2:

@Certified Jewish Geek: You missed the point entirely. I'm essentially suggesting that to be "outside of time" is either a nonsensical statement, or suggests a completely static state. For something to be the case and then something else to be the case, time must elapse. Otherwise, you'd have to be referring to two different states being the case simultaneously.

The arrow of time in the Physical Universe is specific to the Physical Universe.. That does not preclude other realms from having their own dimension/arrow of time.. The Quantum Realm for example has a different arrow of time than the Physical realm... Two separate realms - two arrows of time.

The materialists assume the Physical realm and the Quantum Realm are not separate - but every attempt to unify the two with what Hawkings referred to as (Theory of Everything) has failed and the various 'Unification Theorems" are not testable... If we apply the often invoked null hypothesis we should assume the Quantum and Physical realms are separate until proven otherwise.

The fact that the two realms we know about have two separate arrows of time indicates it is entirely possible those realms we do not know about could also experience their own arrow of time distinct from any other realm.

The Arrow of time being different is the evidence that the Physical and Quantum experience two different dimensions of time... This is necessarily the case because the direction of time in the physical realm necessarily makes escape from entropy impossible and so the physical realm is finite (eventually all matter will be converted to low level thermal radiation and non-convertible). The arrow of time in the Quantum allows and escape from entropy and so the quantum realm - due to the First Law of Thermodynamics is necessarily infinite. (Energy can neither be created nor destroyed only changed in form) So even if all the energy in the quantum realm is ultimately converted to matter (making it part of the physical realm) eventually the physical realm will cease to exist and the reaming low level thermal radiation will continue forever in a non-physical (quantum) state.

God created Time and before Time He was there in a state of perfection. In the Bible God calls Himself "I AM". It's a state of being. There are no restraints on it. God just IS.

Just because God exists out of time, it doesn't mean that WE do. It's all a matter of perspective. But then, that's true of most things, no?

He didn't. From God's perspective, there is only one time: now, and everthing happens all at once. But from our time-bound perspective, anything God does appears to have a sequence to it.

    Magic.

Btw, if God is not also omnidirectional, I have a microphone in my house with one more super power than He/She has...
