How do I download photos from my Samsung 2 smart phone?
I have a USB cable connected to my smart phone but I cannot download the photos from the mobile phone. They are all plugged in the USB port to my laptop. But what exactly is the process of getting the photos downloaded onto a file in my documents.
What do I need to do on the phone?
What do I need to do on my laptop and where do I go?
Could someone please help me with the step by step process. Much appreciated.
I have found the DCIM but still cannot access or down load photos.

Well with my phone"Droid Mini" after you connect your phone with the usb cable you need to change the transfer setttings.For music and media files to put on the phone it needs to be in MTP mode, and to look at and transfer photo's from the phone it needs to be set to PTP mode thus finding the phone in my computer and opening the browser and clicking on DCIM folder to find your photo's.
Not to sure if this implies to your phone but it may be the case.

after connecting your phone to pc (laptop ) - > my computer -> phone (phone memory /memory card ) look for a folder named "" DCIM "" (for the photos that you have taken from your camera
