Is it me, or do lefthanded shooters in basketball have a distinct shot form?

I am reading about left-handedness in non-sport contexts, but as a player and coach for many years, I have always wondered why (it seems) the lefties I have been around don't typically have "textbook" style shot forms. They tend to be more looping and armsy, a little less compact and efficient. However, I seem to recall lefties as being better shooters relative to the 95% of righties that play the sport. Any thoughts? I am reminded of guys like Manu, Bosh, and Michael Redd from years ago.

I think it's because their shot seems more unorthodox to righties. Like me (I'm not left-handed), I admire how the lefties release their shots, it's like, it's tough for that shot to fall through, but it does.

In addition to your list are Chris Mullin, Toni Kukoc and Sam Perkins.
