What is the wage scale can a foreign native speaking teacher can expect working in the Philippines?

Sorry, about the poor grammar. Very sleepy. I am a qualified teacher planning to relocate to the Philippines. I have googled this question but without success.Help with this question may help me to negotiate a suitable contract. Thank you in advance.

High end pay is about P 20,000 per month about $500 US Problem is all 3 of those high end jobs are filled with a 22 person waiting list. LOL

What do you mean "negotiate" a contract? Here it is "take it or

    leave it"

Once about oh, 5 years ago I sat outside Mama's house in Cebu at yet another ''party'' I paid for talking to a so called. ''Senior Teacher'' from a local high school.

Now to get into context, in the PI these folks are very high up on the social ladder and garner tremendous --respect.

So imagine my surprise when this ''Senor Teacher'' showed a complete and utter lack of any general world knowledge, arrogance beyond belief and a brain that I would give to any primary school child here at home.

That the PI have fools like this guy in their employ supposedly--teaching anything staggered me. He was a brain dead idiot.

So--if YOU have a foreign qualification as a Teacher, hells bells mate, expect no job , no salary and no prospects.

Do you really want to think they are going to allow you to show just how backward they are?

    I don't think so.

The amount you will earn depends on how much a potential employer is going to offer you. Don't expect too much. There is a long list of qualified teachers waiting for jobs.

Well, if that's the grammar you intend to use then it's questionable. Depends on your credentials but even if you do land a job teaching English it will not pay much.

They need English teachers in China and they pay better and include housing at the university level.

How do you qualify? What are your credentials? Bachelor's degree in education? You will need to show proof of your worth if you plan to "negotiate" a contract.
