Chihuahua had puppy??????
Okay, so before, you go on and be rude, and curse me, I never let my chihuahua unsupervised outside, alone. I bring her out, to use the bathroom, we leave her outside for about 5 minutes, and she usually sits on our doorstep right after she uses the bathroom (but she stays in our yard).
Okay, now since we have that cleared lets get to the question.
So basically, she mated with a shih tzu (which was absolutely not planned) When we opened the door to let her back in from using the bathroom, she went to our neighbors yard, to mate with a shih tzu. Which, clueless where she was, we finally found her, stuck together with a shih tzu.
So, now, She had her baby last night about 2:30 am. She was giving labor.Thank goodness I woke up because she had her baby because it would of been bad because she had the baby stuck. (the body came out just fine but the head was the problem) which the baby died. Sadly. But we soon got the puppy out.
Honestly, my dog is fine, she's eating, being her usual self, not wimpering, she's totally fine. But, what I'm scared of is how the baby died, I sure it suffocated since the head was stuck. But I would think she would have more puppies.>? I asked this question earlier and people were saying there might be more puppies dead inside of her?
I asked my mom if we could go to the vet, earlier, and she's refusing (i don't know why) I have money to pay for the vet, even offered to pay for it. She said no. So basically don't know what to do.But I think she's going to be okay, but like I said, the people answering earlier about all the possiblities kind of startled me and I just wanna know if she's gonna be okay.
by last night ( I mean today)

Unfortunately even if your dog is OK, this whole thing has shortened her life expectancy. I'm not putting this on you, this goes to your parents who should have arranged to have her spayed.
I'm imagining your mom is like my mom, doesn't want to spend any money on the dog or animals. I don't know or understand why someone would let their child's pet be in danger or die, but my mom ended up putting my cat down while I was in college because it was free and she didn't like the cat anyway.
I hope your dog is OK. Call your vet to let them know what happened so you can talk to a vet tech and see if they can give you information. If there is anything you can do at home to more accurately assess your dog, and if they can give you a quote on what a check up will cost, and a spay. Then if it's still in your price range make the appointment, then ask your mom to take you. Good luck.

I agree with the others...the dog should go to a vet for an exam and an inexpensive shot of oxytocin to make sure the uterus is cleaned out. The cost should be well under $100.
Tell your mom that if there is any birthing material left inside, it will poison your dog's whole system. In that case she will need a very expensive emergency spay and quite possibly will die. Tell her you want to make sure your dog has no bad after-effects. If your mom still refuses, *politely* ask her why (since you're willing to pay for the visit). Let us know what she says and maybe we can help you figure out a way to convince her.
And either get the dog spayed or when she's in heat, never let her outside unless she is on a leash with you at the other end.

The dog needs to see a vet period. No one can guarantee that she will be OK since we cannot examine her and are not qualified to give any sort of diagnosis. Since you cannot be bothered to properly confine her when she is in season, make an appointment to get her spayed. Low cost spay options are available everywhere, so money is no excuse. Contact your vet today.
Asking over and over again does not change the fact that she needs a vet. Those were sane, sensible answers you received from experienced owners and breeders. Ignoring them does not make your problem go away. If you can afford a vet, you can surely afford a taxi. This is the problem when minors have to be the responsible party for an animal's well being.

Your dog is VERY lucky not to have died with the puppy. Chi's don't have many puppies and if she needed an emergency c-section ($1,500+) what would you have done? Nothing. Just let her die.
Because the puppy died (probably too big or didn't get out in time), she should be taken to the vet NOW and have an emergency spay done. She should have been spayed when you caught her with the neighbors dog and not have risked her life/health.

The puppy was breach and probably too big. Your dog does need to go to the vet to make sure there are no more puppies. A dead retained puppy could kill her.
