Has anyone ever used frozen crayfish?

I was gifted a package of frozen crayfish. Has anyone ever tried them frozen- they're red so presumably they are cooked. I was thinking of using them in a fish stew since their flavor probably won't be good enough to stand on their own. Any past experience or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Update:

I know they're great fresh, I'm just not so sure about frozen.

Thanks Katie- the Alfredo pasta sounds really good. I'll probably save half to make that. Very good suggestion.

Update 2:

Thanks Cecesan- theat sound really good. You're making me feel more confident about using the frozen ones. Appreciate it!

I let it thaw out a bit and with chopped garlic coarsely, Cajun seasoning and a little broth, drop in those crawfish. Otherwise, I will steam it if its cooked but frozen just to warm it up and dip in melted butter and lemon juice. Crawfish is also great in linguine with white cream sauce *

Yes, they are pretty mild, but they're good in crawfish etoufee, jambalaya, gumbo, or in just about any dish where you would use shrimp. I like them in an Alfredo Sauce over pasta.
