How to lock up a cabinet?
Well, my sister is a compulsive thief and is only 12.... she has been stealing just about everything from every member of the family for years now. She loves to steal my food and clothes especially (even though they don't fit her!). I can't afford a safe right now but, I have my own personal cabinets in my room (whichever we also share, so it doesn't help with the problem). My only problem is is that the cabinets don't have handles. Of they did, I would've just tied a chain around the handles and put a padlock on it.
My question to you is:
How can I lock my cabinets? they don't have handles or anything. Please help!
Good answer, but we actually have a pet snake and she adores it XD

A few manufacturers make cabinet/drawer locks and the use of handles are not required. They usually require a 5/8 " hole near to style and are of various lengths to accommodate various door/drawer front thicknesses. Most are a simple wafer locks and these are usually very inexpensive but high security ones are available at a significantly higher cost. Installation can be challenging for non carpenters, cabinet makers, etc.
A rim lock is another option. This lock is much larger than a cabinet lock and more robust. It requires a 1 1/4" hole for a mortise cylinder and they cost about $10.00 and up and again handles are not required.
All your options will require holes to be drilled, wood screws and perhaps some chiseling in finished cabinetry so the property owner should be in agreement with your choice and decision to install this hardware.

Look in Your local Hardware store for Hasp's.Have someone install them on any drawers You wish to secure . Also buy suitable Padlocks for each Hasp. Or buy a pet Snake and start leaving it in a different drawer each day. She'll get the hint.

You can buy small hasp & staples which are easily screwed on and secured by a padlock. Some of them are quite decorative.
