How do I install windows 7 on a PATA (EIDE) hard drive? There is this big thing on how windows 7 cant be installed on an PATA HDD but people found a way. I tried it myself and it said no hdd's detected. How do I do this?

As far as I know, you'd probably have to use a PATA to SATA internal adapter, or if your system supports USB booting from BIOS/EFI firmware, use a IDE/SATA to USB adapter.

There is no special way to install windows on an EIDE drive, if the installer can't see the drive,the drive either is bad or a raw partition
