If the government cannot stop trash calls how can they do health care?

Continue to receive BS calls (credit card services, ...) from various phone numbers and filed complaints with the FCC. Have long been on the Do Not Call list but that doesn't seem to be a problem for the telemarketers. How is DNC working for you? Doesn't that weaken the idea that the government can do a job?

DNC works great for me. I only get calls from companies I have done business with in the last 18 months (as the law allows), and while that can be a nuisance, it is due to what I have done, so I accept it and just tell them that I'm not interested. Plus, not having a land-line is a big help. It's also illegal for them to call cell phone with auto-dialers.

Read the law carefully and make sure that they are not following it before you get upset about it not working. The DNC law works just fine for me. It may also be working fine for you, and the calls you are getting are within the law (having a previous relationship with them, in state calls, political and charitable calls, and so on). There are exceptions in there on who can call.

And just because I think the DNC law is working fine for me does not mean I think the government can handle healthcare. It's already a train wreck, and instead of stopping train traffic to the accident site, they just let the trains keep rolling, and those trains are crashing into the wreck already there.
