Candle In The Wind or Rocket Man?

"Rocket Man" for me -- despite being about an astronaut, there's certainly more of an every-man quality to him than Marilyn Monroe, and the humbleness of its lyrics is far more appealing and powerful to me than Candle's starry-eyed hero adoration (Candle's still a great song, though). I've always been partial to "Honky Chateau" overall over "Goodbye Yellow Brick Road" -- GYBR has some amazing songs, but also a lot of filler. Honky's consistent and engaging at every turn.

Rocket Man

Candle in the Wind because it's very emotional, and really reflects Marilyn Monroe's life I feel. Being pushed to be perfect by society.

I agree with Maurice though, I love "Goodbye Yellow Brick Road" and others, but Candle in the Wind is good too.

Rocket Man by far for me.
