For a ride and never went back?

My most frequent sections are rock and pop and dogs. I have noticed that both sections only have about 3 or 4 pages worth of questions, as opposed to the usual infinite numbers. Even the polls and surveys section is very slow. Is this because the Canadian version switched over to the new format? Or are only answers from the UK section (which I am on now due to it still having the old format) showing up for me?

Myself, I order 3 times the mustard, extra onions, and easy on th ketchup.

All right, hypothetical situation time. Let's say you had a child - and he/she was diagnosed with a terminal condition, and only had a few years to live. And they really wanted to have a dog (you have all the financial resources and live in a place where keeping dogs is allowed). But you weren't too fond of dogs. What would you do? Would you let them get a dog or no?

If I was in this situation, I would let them get a dog, even if they only got a few years with it and I would have to look after the dog when the kid died. The reason I would do this is because they're terminal, and "waiting until you move out" wouldn't be an option, and I would want them to make the most of their short life.

What would you do? And what's your reasoning?

What was wrong with these names? When my parents were born (late 1940s) these were some of the most popular girl's names. But by the time I was born (1969) nobody named them that anymore. Why is this?
