How do you know if you are thinking too much?

I think a lot mostly about my future or how I wish things would be. I do this especially at night before I go to sleep or when I'm alone and bored. Does anybody else do this?

"Words of Wisdom" ignores the fact that in order to "get a positive mission in your life" you of necessity must think about the future or desire things to be a certain way. When one is visualizing the future, conceptualizing, sending energy toward that aim, one isn't necessarily aware of everything going on in the room because your awareness is directed elsewhere. But WoW criticizes that claiming it would keep you "out of the present moment". Bullshit. By that logic, no one could ever plan or visualize the attainment of a goal. There is nothing wrong with visualizing how you want your future to be and before you go to bed is as good a time as any because it helps to program your subconscious to help bring about those aims. However, WoW is correct in that when you are living in service to a cause, to others, to something greater than just what you personally want, you usually will not be bored. But there's nothing wrong with being alone.

Thinking about the future and wishing about things "would be" or "could be" keeps you out of the present moment. Get a positive mission in your life that is bigger than yourself and you will no longer find yourself "alone and bored"

Yeah, i do it too. It's pretty common among geniuses. We think too much and sometimes overthink our thoughts out loud when our minds are cramped of information. I found it that when we that way, the best way is to meditate and quiet our minds of all the nonsense. As for the pondering, i ponder about my future inventions saving the world and inventing cures to uncurible diseases and doing what they say can't be done. I daze off for a good two hours thinking about a better future of having kids, the world being better, and being relaxed and happy. Sigh, i love those dreams of mine and i know i'm going to make the world a better place some day. :-)
