The need to think is related to the need to be able to get around other humans who are evolving new ways each and every moment to confuse you and get you to do what they want you to do. So you have to do the same if you want to make it. You have to think of a way to get along with them that is best for you. If you don't things just get harder when it comes to coordinating with other people.

Well no not really, intentions and purpose is a small part of it. You can make observations through thinking and a whole bunch of other stuff. Ideas are frozen actions

The whole point of purpose is for being.

One's being is also one's purpose.

If you define what it is, you discover why it is, and vice versa.

The whole point of thinking is to symbolically express self. It comes from our desire to know ourselves in order to define self. Such efforts are fruitless, only garnering representations of constructs similar to language. We cannot possibly define ourselves, let alone attempt to through thought. Instead we can attempt to be aware of the metaphor that we create through our thoughts and perceptions and realize our nature.

Yes but, actually, thoughts are there like anything else in the space&timeless Indefinite (that is there because infinity is at its bedrock) and we only catch them according to our more or less orderly needs or according to other numberless random impulses. Purpose is very important and requires real discipline !

Yes. Because each person has a purpose in life to be good, and do good, and to chose otherwise, isn't thinking.

Without thought we would be merely shells. Our minds are like children and thoughts are like play-dough. Therefore we mould the play-dough to make life a little more 'interesting' ....I think...

It's physical. Even if you do not want to create it might be a reason to defend. Yes.

    Your question is not clear.

Do you mean 'What is the point of thinking?'

Well, for one thing, when you think things out, you ask questions that other people can understand.

This is a question that requires careful thought.
