Why don't I do the things I like?

I like drawing and sculpting, but I never seem to do them, which upsets me because I feel like I have talent for sculpture but I never practice so I don't get better. It makes me feel like I'm arrogant. Instead of going and sculpting I just sit at my computer and watch tv and videos on youtube.

Can anyone relate and/or share some advice with me?

Hello! This is very common. It is called "self-sabotage."

It's not clear why people sabotage their own interests. Perhaps it is different for every person. But a common theme is that, somewhere in your very early childhood somebody made you feel like you weren't good enough. Some incident happened that made your self-esteem go down. And now your subconscious is still carrying that memory around, and you are acting to turn it into reality.

This type of issue responds well to (1) counseling; (2) hypnotherapy; or (3) positive thinking and life coaching.

Begin coaching yourself for success. What would you say to a person who needed success coaching? What affirmations should they say to themselves? What schedule of activities should they set for themselves? What positive rewards should they give themselves?

You know yourself best. And your time is now! Live the present moment!
