Can a big dog get along with a small dog?
I'm getting a puppy and she is one of those dogs that stay small even when they get older. The dog I already have is two and I think the puppy is one. My other dog however, is much bigger since she is a German Shepherd. Would my German shepherd get jealous of the puppy since the puppy lives inside instead of living outside like her. Also, would they get along in general, because I heard two female dogs usually dont get along with one another.I dont want a log lecture about not letting my dog live inside you can tell that to my parents not me. Anyways thank you.
The German Shepherd is really shy. So is the puppy or that's what I've heard.

Yes, they can get along. Size does not matter. However, it all depends on the dog itself. The larger dog will probably get jealous given that after the small pup is let out it gets to go inside with the family, and she has to stay outside. Females do get along with females, you were thinking a male with a male (dominance issues is the problem). Just watch closely as the two interact until they are familiar with each other, but they should be good after they are familiar with one another.
Good luck!

You're the only on that will be able to answer this. Does your dog get along with other dogs normally? If not I wouldn't risk it, especially with a small breed puppy. Why keep one dog in and the other out? I know you don't want a lecture, but it isn't fair to leave her out all the time, and you should explain this to your parents. If thy don't like the way she smells, wash her. And generally large breed dogs are easier to train, especially in the house, than smaller breed dogs.
We have three female dogs and all of them get along perfectly fine, granted we have labs and they are generally not aggressive and very pet friendly.

Lots of GSD's actually perfer to live outside, especially if they are working dogs. (As long as it has a warm place to sleep, no problem)
I have too females, no issues, maybe because both are spayed. at one point had a pap and a lab, they loved to play. My aunt lives in the country her husband always has GSD's working dogs, she always has little dogs. Teach the GSD, the pup is part of his job, he needs to protect it. A good thing if you are in the country especially (The GSD's have saved the little dogs from eagles, hawk, and other predators)
It should be fine just make sure you introduce them both on leash.
