Jesus never claimed to be on the same level as Almighty God. He said: “The Father is greater than I am.”—John 14:28.

Jesus’ early followers did not view him as being equal to Almighty God. For example, the apostle Paul wrote that after Jesus was resurrected, God “exalted him [Jesus] to a superior position.” Obviously, Paul did not believe that Jesus was Almighty God. Otherwise, how could God exalt Jesus to a superior position? —Philippians 2:9.
You don't have to be a JW to know the truth from the Bible, read and do research of where the 3 and 1 teaching came from, it was not the Bible....
The Bible speaks for itself, Jesus prayed to his father not too himself, when he was baptized he His father spoke from heaven saying "this is my son who I have approved" why would Jesus approve of himself.
The Bible does not contradict itself, many people do not understand the way it is worded and interpret the scripture their own way.....the truth is now clouded among many today
Jesus is referred to as "A God" only in the sense that He is only lower than Jehovah, as God has given him a name higher than any other angel or human.
This does not make Him "Almighty God" because many things can be referred to as a God (EX. Satan is called the God of this system of things & men make anything a God when they put it before their service to Almighty God! - things like idols, money, etc.)

Are you aware that you quoted Philippians 2:9 using words that just are not in the koine Greek of the scripture in question? If you get hold of your Society s own Kingdom Interlinear of the Greek Scriptures (the KIT), turn to it and look at the Greek.
From verse 7 you get the reason why the man, Jesus rightly said the Father was greater than He was, at that time. So I start with verse 7 in order to answer your first point about John 14:28:
But he emptied himself and took a slave s form and came to be in the likeness of men.
Stop and think. Before becoming Jesus - a slave, a servant - He had to empty Himself. Emptied Himself of what? The glory He had in the Godhead as the Word of God who was with God in the beginning, was was God, and who made everything that was made. John 1:1-14. He did not cling on to the glory He had. He let go of that glory to become a slave, a servant, a human.
Now, verse 8: When he found himself in fashion as a man, he humbled himself and became obedient as far as death on a stake.
Of COURSE the Father was greater than He was, in that state of humiliation! Even a child could see that! But what happened after Christ triumphed over sin, death and the devil and was resurrected? Verse 9, but here is how your own KIT renders it literally:
through which also the God him put high up over, and he graciously gave to him the name the over every name
That translates correctly as, Therefore God exalted him to the highest place and gave him the name that is above every name.
Compare that with the twisted version you quoted. See the critical differences? Now do you understand why Christians are appalled at the way your organization tries to pull Jesus down from the glorious place He now has? Verse 10 correctly adds:
that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
If you do not bend your knee at Jesus name (and I have not met a JW yet who has), you are not confessing Christ as Lord, and thus you are NOT giving glory to God the Father. Until you grasp your need to bow before Jesus now, you are in no position to lecture others on what the Bible is supposed to be saying. Stop using a warped translation and discover what the koine Greek actually says. It says Jesus has THE highest place (not a high place) and that he has the name that is above EVERY name (not every other name). Waken up to how subtly you are being deceived! AiH

Philippians 2:9-10
Therefore God exalted him to the highest place and gave him the name that is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, (NIV)
Voney, from your quote you are arguing that
"If Christ were God he would already occupy the highest place and would already possess the name that is above every name," on the same level as Almighty God and "so his being given these things by the Father proves he is not God." ( Almighty God ) is this summary Correct?
Answer :
You forget that your New World Translation verse 6 says that initially Christ "was existing in God's form." Certainly he could not be exalted higher than that. But then "he emptied himself and took a slave's form" according to verse 7, in which state he further "humbled himself" according to verse 8. So, it was from this lowered position that the Father could exalt him. ( As Tony from Sussex , Annsan and others have shown in their answer for your argument... )
For heaven sake! I really hope that this was just a simple mistake from your miss understanding of the scripture
If not then this would be an Abusive, ungodly and unbiblical methods of influence with Gross, outright distortion or twisting of scriptures; not to mention clearly a deceptive tactics of proselyting (making converts) and teaching religious belief down other people's throats

But then again your sect teaches instead that Christ was "the only one who was directly created by God" and that he then "shared with Jehovah in creating all other things." - You Can Live Forever in Paradise on Earth, page 58.
In this view, Christ is not God the Creator, but merely the first angel created--"The foremost angelŠJesus Christ, also called Michael." - The Watchtower November 1, 1995, page 8
However, for clarification did God really create only one angel by himself and then use this angel to create all "other" things as teach by JW
The bible show that the answer is
No! God testifies that he himself created the heavens and the earth, "alone," "by myself." Scripture makes it plain: "Thus saith the LORDŠI am the LORD that maketh all things; that stretcheth forth the heavens alone; that spreadeth abroad the earth by myself." (Isa 44:24 KJV)
So, the Bible reveals that all things were created by the Son, that the Holy Spirit was present at creation (Genesis 1:2), and that the LORD (Jehovah) was there "alone." This makes sense only if Father, Son and Holy Spirit together comprise the one true God.
God bless you..

Jesus is God and I can tell you what those verses mean with just one verse. Hebrews 2:9, " But we do see Him who was made for a little while lower than the angels, namely, Jesus, because of the suffering of death crowned with glory and honor, so that by the grace of God He might taste death for everyone." As we can see here. The Son of God incarnated into man. Because man could die. God the Son main objective was to die for our sins. He was made alittle lower then the angels for a while. When Christ said the Father is Greater then I, he was at the time. Because at the time Jesus was a man and man is lower then God. Jesus was the incarnation of God the Son. And even though he was still God he was also still a man. And when Jesus went back to Heaven he regained his position. As Paul states in Philippians 2:9.

Jesus was God made man. He chose to be born to a humble virgin and to live poverty and lowliness and He suffered much affliction and was rejected by many. God didn't come here to rule over us like the rulers we have in our countries. He came to serve to defend to preach truth and wisdom not by physical might or power but He cast out demons and cured the sick fed the hungry set the captives free by the power of The Holy Spirit. He said (about His relationship with The Father). I say nothing but what The Father gives me to say. I do not say these things (His teaching etc.) on my own but I testify to the truth. The Father and I are one etc. etc etc.

Jesus did say He is God: John 8:58, John 10:30. Jesus and the Holy Spirit are equal to the Father. When Jesus said "The Father is greater than I am", Jesus meant that He willingly submits to the Father, even though the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit are all equal.

Yahuwshua said He came to serve and not to be served(MattithYahuw"matthew" 20:28).The Father Yahweh is His Power/Greatness/Honor/Rightousness which comes from Him.The son is the exact Image/Personification of the Father.Yahuwshua was Yahweh in the flesh, yet they are One being.
To answer your question when He came to earth He was separated from His Power in heaven,to sue for forgiveness of our sins and reconcile us back to His Power.Until He resurrected He was not yet honored, but He rose being sinless and accomplished all blameless.Him and His Power are One.Now He sits at the right hand side of the Power until His season to return.Have you read Yahuwchanan("john")?
Yahuwchanan 10:30. I and My Father are ’Echâ´th (One). ”

Don't you have any new questions?
Quite simply, because according to John 1, Jesus temporarily took a lower position. That is, to become like us, had to assume less of hi greatness.

Because he wasn't. He was human. Flesh and bone, if he was anything at all.
Its like any myth that becomes a legend.
Besides its not whether he was man or God (a debate raging for 2000 years). Its the message that was conveyed.
It seems the message is still lost on most people.

Because although Jesus is God, he was limited in his Human form.
But after death Jesus Became the Fullness of what God is/was/and always will be.
You people obviously dont know your bible

Uh, He did. He called the Father greater than Him, but He also stated quite clearly that He and the Father are one. AND He went so far as to call Himself Yahweh. In front of a group of Pharisees, no less.
Allow me to use one of my favorite illustrations...
This is Tara: http://fav.me/d2yjhxk
In pony form, her name is Ana Matic: http://fav.me/d71pspl
As you can see, she changes her form to fit in with the majority sapient population of a given world. She's my author avatar. She is my brain-child, with her own personality and free will (yes, fictional characters have free will; any writer will tell you that). She exists in a lower dimension than I do, and her purpose is to be my voice to the characters with whom she interacts; characters whom I draw. Even when she's in human form (such as here: http://fav.me/d4mu7k8) she remains her own individual. Since she exists in a lower dimension and is a character written/drawn by me, she does not wield as much power or authority over her world as I do.
Yet she and I are one. Tara. Is. Me.
Likewise, God is the great Author and Artist of this illustrated story we call life, the universe and everything (although I'm pretty sure we're well past chapter 42). And, like me, whom He made in His image and whom He gave a piece of His sense of humor, He has an Author Avatar: Jesus. Just as Tara has technically existed as long as I have, Jesus has existed as long as God has. He just hasn't always had that name necessarily. As a character, Jesus exists on a lower plane than the Father. He is the brain-child of God. That is why He does not wield the same authority as the Father. But He is still God. Just as Tara is, always was, and always will be me.
@ starterman: If speaking a different language from Hebrew makes one a pagan, then that means God WANTS 98% of the world to be pagan. He's the one who created the languages at Babel.
