Point and shoot camera now has lines all over photos.?

The lines appear when framing and also in the taken picture.

The lines flicker and flit about frequently nearly obscuring the whole picture.

The lines come and go but even at best I can find a few when I zoom in.

The LCD display is OK - I can see previously taken pics just fine.

I suspect that the CCD or associated circuitry is toast.

Anyone have any helpful ideas?

Why haven't you inquired of the manufacture? You left out your camera name & model so we can't give you a phone number (for the USA). But with all that is happening if the cameras has any age what so ever, I would consider replacing it with a more recent camera and perhaps and up grade or two. Like a longer zoom lens. Added megapixels don't mean a thing, don't use that as a basis.

    Good Luck

    Ideas?

Throw it away and buy a new one. Repairs are much more expensive.

I guess this "camera" doesn't have a brand name or model number?
