What college should I attend?

I live in Cincinnati, Ohio. I'm just doing some research to examine my options. I want to be a lawyer, and I want to be close to home. I really like UC; University of Cincinnati. Please give me a detailed response of your opinions about the college, i.e. food quality, classes for law, dorms, apartments, atmosphere, anything and everything. My boyfriend and I want to go together so any places to live around there. My current GPA is 3.8 if that helps. Thank you!

You must complete a bachelors degree before you go to law school. I would suggest getting your bachelors degree in something like accounting or business. Subjects like political science, history, philosophy, and psychology are poor choices for law school right now. I worked for a law firm a few years ago and I know for a fact that a lot of firms are now looking for people with business or accounting backgrounds. Understanding business and how to follow the money are very desirable traits in an attorney. Plus you have to consider the possibility that you might decide not to go to law school after your undergraduate degree is done and you want to be employable. I think the University of Cincinnati is a good choice for your undergraduate degree. They seem to have good programs and I think if you do well there you won't have any problem getting into a decent law school. I hope everything goes well for you! Good luck with whatever you decide to do.

PS: Make an appointment to visit the school and see it for yourself before you apply. That way you can make the best decision. It doesn't matter what other people think and you truly have no idea about the school until you have seen it for yourself.
