No sound windows 7 computer?
Sound won't come out of windows 7 computer. I did something in the sound settings and now I can't get sound to come out. There's no speaker in the desktop so I use the audio jack for headphones. I think I dissabled the jack but I'm not sure. How do I get sound back?

Open Device Manager by clicking the Start button Picture of the Start button , clicking Control Panel, clicking System and Security, and then, under System, clicking Device Manager. Administrator permission required If you're prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.
Double-click Sound, video and game controllers to expand that category. If a sound card is listed, you have one installed. If no sound card is listed, check the information that came with your computer to see if there's supposed to be a sound card installed. If there should be a sound card installed, you'll need to install one according to the manufacturer's instructions.
If there's a yellow question mark next to the name of the sound card in Device Manager, there might be a problem.
Right-click the name of the sound card, and then click Properties.
.Click the General tab, and then look in the Device status box to identify problems with the sound card.
If you have speakers, make sure they're plugged into a working power source and turned on.
Make sure that your speaker volume or headphone volume isn't muted or turned down too low. This is particularly important for laptops, which often have small speakers that can be hard to hear.
Open Volume Mixer by clicking the Start button Picture of the Start button, clicking Control Panel, clicking Hardware and Sound, and then, under Sound, clicking Adjust system volume.
Move the slider up to increase the volume.
Make sure the Mute button isn't turned on. If the button looks like this: Picture of the Mute button turned off, muting is turned off. If the button looks like this: Picture of the Mute button turned on , click it to turn off muting.
I hope this helps .... any questions let me know
good luck !

If you go into control panel then into Sound (you can search for Sound in the Start menu search box), then ensure that your audio device appears in the list there. It may be disabled, in which case right click on it and click enable.

go to control panel and open sound
if active there is the driver installed
if inactive you need to install the driver
pls find the driver pack solution dvd and you can quickly install the driver or go to manufacturer web site and pls download the driver for sound chip
Also you can test the sound with play music or go to control panel (if available) ex:realtec audio and go to test speaker

The best way is you can simply un install and then re install it so that all changes will be revert to default.
