Your skin like dawn -- simile for something new, bright, and amazing.
Mine like musk -- simile for what he desires maybe... Musk being his protective shield that blocks his psychology...
One paints the beginning
of a certain end -- The person he is referring to believes that maybe a meeting can start something special though, the poet knows it wont last
The other, the end of a
sure beginning --- He may be referring to that shield here... that he refuses to start something he knows if doomed...
Anyways... that's my guess. Its a paradox, and outlook on time between the poet and his other. Both have different perspectives on how something will turn out in the future...
