Lemon juice has erroded the varnish off a bit of marble top?

How can i reverse the damage.

    It may be worse than that. If it is varnish then you could use solvent to remove any rough and apply thinned varnish. But marble is calcium carbonate and acid as in lemon juice will chemically etch/erode it if left in place and then you are talking about repairing the actual material including color matching. You probably need to talk to marble counter installing firms before attempting anything. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marble
