How much does adoption cost in the state of Maine?
I would like to adopt my wife's two children, who both have deadbeat fathers. I love the two to death and was wondering of the cost in our home state of Maine. If anyone has any links to provide for the cost of this, that would be very helpful. I already call them my kids, and they refer to me by name as well as the occasional "dad", I am just curious as to what the adoption requirements and cost would be.

https://www.reliableadoption.com/..from what I could tell, it is about 300 dollars per child plus court and filing fees..the only thing is that the biological fathers of these children will have to sign away their parental rights in most states..not sure about Maine..some states will terminate without the bio fathers even being involved..good luck to you and bravo for what you are doing for your stepkids.
