Microsoft Office 2013 Professional Plus won't install?

I have been trying to update my microsoft office with the 2013 version that I just purchased (on a disk) but cannot get it to install. It first told me to uninstall my previous version, which I did. However, whenever I try and install it now, the splash screen gets to "10% - Configuring..." stops and disappears after about 20 seconds. A few "integratedoffice.exe" processes remain active, but never continues. Anyone know what is happening?

Update:

@ Carling - Office 2013 is also compatible with Windows 7 (which I have) so that is not the issue. I am well aware of Openoffice and Libre but there are always compatibility issues when submitting papers to professors. My university offered this to me at a good price so I bought it.

@ Edwin - Thanks for the help! However, after running these programs, It's acting a little differently but still not working. Whenever I run the installer now, it immediately goes to the "cannot install" screen and will not go away unless I end all of the "integratedoffice.exe" processes from the task manager. A second try does the same as before. Any other ideas?

Just purchased a key for Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium from http://www.productkeystore.com/ . Email reply with the key was quick (within 4 hrs). Installed Windows and using the key purchased it activated with no problems. Activation indicated that it was Genuine Microsoft Software. Updated with all MS updates with no problems. Purchasing a key was a lot cheaper then buying a new product. I already had MS Win 7 but lost the key. I downloaded a ISO from Microsoft, burned it to DVD and installed with the provided key. Email support from it is outstanding, after installation I received a follow up email making sure I was satisfied. Great support, low cost, gained a customer here.

Choose http://www.win7productkeys.org/ I'm very pleased. Purchased a Windows 7 key and after 20 minutes I received my key by email and it works perfectly, activated with no problems. I'm a super happy customer and will definitely use this service again. Highly recommended!

i think it could be that your computer does not meet the minimum system requirements for that version of office. if i remember right, the netFrame version required to run that program is Version 4.0 or 4.5. can't tell exactly from the top of my head. if that is not the case, then it could be the case of just cleaning up the things a little bit. Depending on the Version of Office (32 bit? 64 bit) you are running, some Office programs are not compatible with others. You may have to remove the old offfice stuff first before proceeding with new install. if your current purchase is not working, try these out. they offer a low price

Try downloading and running these tools: https://skydrive.live.com/?cid=8a669b30a3ebfefa&id...

This download is comprised of several tools to remove the latest versions of Microsoft Office and the App-V virtual drives.

Run the offcln.exe tool to delete all traces of Office,

    then reboot,

and run the CleanC2R.exe tool to delete the virtual drive Q and R from your system.

A second reboot will be required.

This package also includes the msizap.exe tool and the oclncore.opc resource files.

I want to thank Sara here, she has won my business and I'll be posting my experience to you and others.

My old computer crashed days ago. I had to buy a new computer. It costed me much.

My budget was not much. To purchase a Windows 81 key from MS was not enough. Then I went to Tomshardware, and one guy recommended http://www.windowspremiumkey.com/

to me. Their price did attract me. So I decided to try after several emails to Sara. She was very patient and answered clearly to all my questions. I receved the key immediately after I sent 49 bucks. It worked perfectly. I was very very satisfied.

    I'll be buying from http://www.windowspremiumkey.com/

    from now on as well.

the easiest way to get the key is to buy it from ms online store, right? but it is a little expensive

my friend recommended strongly http://www.win7productkeys.org/ to me, and i visited the site. it looks good. however, i don't buy anything yet as i don't need it at present. in the future, i may buy one there.

maybe you can try, and let me know whether it works. XDDDD
