whichs areas in Cebu City are best for tourists. I like a little nite life?

Cebu City itself has a lot of late night bars and clubs and ALL the Taxi drivers know them. Mandaue and Opon have smaller bars/KTV as well but further out and you WILL find KTV joints everywhere but not as concentrated as in the city.

Please listen up to this advice.

DO NOT allow them to run you a bar ''chit''

A single westerner goes into a club and runs up a bar tab and come time to go you get hit with an outrageous bill and you refuse to pay.

EVERYONE is in on it including the Cops and you WILL be forced to withdraw money from an ATM if you don't have it on you. Trust me, one white guy alone in a bar is trouble for you and money and honey for the bar.

Mark my words.

Pay for each drink as you order it and BEWARE if a ''lady'' sits down with you. She will ask for a ladies drink and they run at 5 times the price of your beer and add up really quick. MAKE SURE that if a girl sits with you and has a glass in front of her---who is paying for that? Often they assume you will pay or just put it on your chit if you say nothing about her sitting at your table. Come time to go, there is NO getting out of paying so ASK---is that YOUR drink? I didn't order it, I didn't want it, I am NOT paying for it and make it known to the bar man or again--trust me, you WILL be at that ATM under threat of force or arrest or both.The cops work with the bars and split the ''take'' so don't even think they will help you as they are the enforcers for the bars to get away with this con job.

Go to Mango Avenue, IT Park or around Banilad Area.
