It's an album that needs to be listened to from beginning to end. Every track adds to the Narrative-like structure the album offers however certain tracks are more important then others to the Narrative for example Swimming Pools is arguably the most important to the Narrative as it concludes with the death of one of Kendrick's homies.

As singles alone (not taking the narrative structure of the album into account) the best songs IMO are the folllowing:

Swimming Pools - It leads on and shows the consequences of The Art of Peer Pressure. The song recounts how Kendrick parties when he's with the homies and as a result leads to death.
