Neither. They are both too long and I think meaning less. You need something that shows your love for him.
Here's one that might work. Farewell grandpa, soon we'll meet again.
Hope I make you proud because I'm proud of you

Well for starter in number 1, its YOU'RE! not "your". Plus the end of that sentence makes it sound like his death caused a lot of drama.
