order of operations questions?

i'm having a hard time figuring out how to do these three problems, i would appreciate the help.

* 7|6-8|+4^2-2^2

the farthest i've gotten is this:

-7|6-8|+16-4

i'm not sure whether to have two different sets of numbers from |6-8|, meaning 6-8=-2 or -6+8=2

* -30/(-3)(8)+√169-144+14

for this one, the farthest i've gotten is: -30/-24+√39

i've got no clue which step is next, i guess i'm just wondering whether if this is the farthest step for this problem.

* (-3)^2 -(-4)(2)

____________

5(2) - (-2)^3

what i got for this problem is 17/18 ; 9+8

____ = 17/18, is this correct?

10+18

Update:

for the last problem, it is meant to look like 9+8 over 10+18, which is how i got 17 over 18.

Update 2:

for the second problem, what i've gotten is 5/4 +√39, is this the final answer?

    You only have one value for |6-8|. It is 2. You need to consider two values when looking for solutions to an equation with an absolute value since there may be more than one solution.

    So 7*2 +16 -4 = 26
