With the new format imposed on all the sites do I have any choice but to give Yahoo up completely?

I would not continue doing something that made me angry.

Yahoo is a company and can do as they please and you as a consumer can refuse yo use their product.

The new format took a little time for me to adjust, but it's not bad and there are some things I like about it. I no longer find it hard to use.

Obviously not enough adventising revenue in previous formats. If everyone takes your stance, Yahoo must re-look at their format as users have the power not the supplier.

I agree. Its not good for me either. And there is nothing wrong with me. I simply liked the one that wasn't broken.
