I am interested in buying a home in New Zealand. Would I be eligible for a home loan from an American bank?

Hello,

I am interested in moving to New Zealand and would like to buy a home there. I will need a home loan. Do I need to apply for a loan in America or contact a New Zealand bank?

Where can I find resources on relocating to New Zealand from the U.S.?

Thanks!

No. American banks do not lend for purchasing property in foreign countries.

you would contact a nz reputable bank.

Not unless they had a branch and did business in the area.
