I want my mustang to be posted outside of the house instead of the dodge charger.

No this cannot be done. With the characters default car/s they always are there and parked outside their safehouse. They cannot be swapped over.
You can keep a default car in a garage (although that wastes space that could be used for another car). You can park another car in the driveway but it wont save and will vanish if you went away and left it there.
