Friend it's true, in Buddhism a core concept is no-self, and combined with impermanence Buddhists conclude there is no eternal soul or self. Nirvana literally translates as "to extinguish", in the original language if you blew out a candle you would say "it nirvanaed". There is a concept known as Buddha nature, which means we all as humans have the potential to become enlightened.

There is the Mahayana branch which believes in an eternal Buddha nature as our true self, I don't really want to go into it and offend practitioners of the Noble Eight-fold Path, but I can provide all sorts of sources demonstrating their teachings to not be genuine teachings of Buddha, that this view on this topic contradicts two of the three marks of existence as taught by the Buddha which I previously mentioned- impermanence and non-self, and is borne of a misunderstanding of Nirvana, which again as I mentioned means to extinguish, burn-out, disappear, cease completely. Nirvana is nothing physical, it is not a state of being, it is not a place, it is not some kind of eternal paradise, it is to extinguish body and mind, forever. I heard a monk refer to mistaking Nirvana for a place as mistaking "nowhere" for "somewhere", like if you said "You go nowhere when you die" and someone asks "What is this Nowhere like? Will my parents be in Nowhere? Where can I find Nowhere?" lol see what I mean?

all religions or the concept of God believe in the existence of the soul as well as the spirit.

however; there is a wide belief in most of the religions about the existence of the soul or where does it began and where does it end.

All of them but Buddhism, at least the major ones.

Yes you are. Religions don't have souls, people do... unless of course you don't want one or don't believe you have one - then of course you forfeit it; in which case, why would you then care? You wouldn't. You'd be an atheist and it wouldn't matter what you had or anyone else has.

Soul is an imaginary concept invented to make humans appear special when compared to other animal species.
