A website seems daunting to me... is it?
I know that a business needs a web presence, and I have owned several domains for years, but when I start looking at building a website, my brain explodes. I am intelligent and successful, but this one thing freaks me out and I would like some help from you geniuses out there... PLEASE....
First, are those web templates worth it?
Second, are site builders on hosting sites really able to create nice looking sites, and if so, do you have a favorite?
Third, What is a good, solid, reference for someone who wants to make a website but is totally freaked out by the process?
Please be kind... I know if I can get through this I can create something useful. I just freak out at the thought of it all...
Thank you for any and all assistance, and much respect to those of you who are able to create websites. I applaud you.

First, are those web templates worth it?
>> It depends if you like the layout, style, and feel of the template. if so, it might be worth it but it should not cost more than it should to buy it. there are free templates out there that work just fine!

>> Site builders on hosting websites do create good looking websites. I used http://www.webs.com/ and it was my favorite. Now I'm learning how to create websites from wordpress. http://wordpress.com/

>> no need to be freaked out. there are lots of tutorials out there that will help you make your website, all you have to do is search them on google or youtube, etc..

The most important thing is to calm down already.
I'd go the wordpress route; it's a CMS that allows you to create a professional website without writing a single line of code.

There are plenty of people in your position, and plenty of people yet older then you. Just get to know these guys the best you can before you meet up with them in a public place and have a good time. Give it a whirl and hope for the best.
