Can I open a chase bank checking account in a branch office?
I applied for a basic checking account on chase.com and was denied due to chex systems. If I went into the branch would they still deny me an account or will they by pass it?

We couldn't possibly tell you if they will "bypass" it. Likely they will still deny it. The ChexSystem is available to them as well.
The only possibility would be to talk to them in person to see if you can work something out.
Whether they will or not is up to them.
