Any tips for someone new to the insurance/financial advising industry?
a quick synopsis about me and my situation. I recently moved to San Diego from SW Florida, about 7 months ago. I recently got a sales/advising position at a national insurance agency, and want a few tips from experienced individuals on how to get started and do well in the industry. The company offers great training, but id like to see what advice others could pass on to me. thank you for any help.
5 AnswersInsurance5 years agoAre owners of paintings/sculptures, paid by the museum when they lend their art to a museum?
This may not be the case, but I m assuming that collectors are paid when they loan their art to museums. Like when people pay millions for a painting, I believe that it is an investment, bc they make money by loaning the art. Is this the case, I could be wrong. Any answers from museum or curator staff thanks.

2 AnswersHigher Education (University +)6 years ago2000 Hyundai Elantra starting issues.?
Sometimes my vehicle starts, other times it turns over and starts after while or does not start at all. That usually after I drive the vehicle and let it sit. I took it to the auto parts store today so that they can run a diagnostic test on it. my alternator was good, my starter was good, and my battery seemed okay. The guy had no idea what could possibly be wrong with the car. Any ideas?
1 AnswerHyundai6 years agoThis may be a strange question. My dogs anal glands are constantly leaking.?
He is a 2.5 year old beagle, and we get his anal glands "expressed" on a regular basis (every few weeks), and they still leak. It smells almost like fish and copper pennies, a very terrible smell. In fact, we just had the vet express his anal glands yesterday and they are already leaking. This happens everytime. We get them expressed and they leak the very next day. Banfield pet hospital in Petsmart is where we take him. My question is...the vet acts like this is normal, but I feel like something Is wrong..what could be the issue???????? Please help

3 AnswersInsurance & Registration6 years agoEngine turns over but sometimes won't start?
It's a 2000 Hyundai Elantra GLS 5 spd manual. This issue began 2 weeks ago, when I noticed it took a little longer than usual for the car to start after turning key. It got slower and slower and when I went to start the car a few days ago, in the morning, it would not start. It turned over but never started. When I got home later that day it started up on the first try. It has done that same, not starting and then starting in the evening, a little hesitant but it starts. Excuse the run on, I'm trying to paint a picture. Battery connection is good btw.

2 AnswersGarden & Landscape7 years agoUnexplained burning smell?
My girlfriend and I started to smell something burning, kind of like singed hair, it has only happened twice. We have a window Ac above our heads in the bedroom, but when we smell the unit it doesn't smell. No candles or fires are lit. The smell only lasts for 2 seconds and then completely goes away.

7 AnswersGovernment7 years agoWhere can I donate my old violin?
I want to donate my violin to a music program for high school or middle school kids that can't afford to pay for the use of an instrument. I don't want to donate to goodwill, Salvation Army etc. only bc where I live people generally only shop at those places for hobby to see what they can find. I want to help a child who needs an instrument but truly can't afford one. Thank you

1 AnswerPersonal Finance7 years agoHow do improve that a debt is in the process of being resolved?
In order. For me to enlist in the Navy and receive a SEAL challenge contract, I must clear some debt. I must either totally pay it or show that I am in the process of paying it (atleast 3 consecutive months). The debt collector said that I will not get a receipt for each monthly payment that I pa to them...so how will I prove to the navy that I have been making payments? Thank you to all that reply
1 AnswerGovernment8 years agoIf you pay a debtor, must they send you proof of cancelled/paid debt?
To keep it short, I must clear some credit card and bank debt before I am able to take a Navy SEAL challenge contract to get orders to BUD/s. I must prove that each debt was paid in full or in resolve. Do the debtors send me something stating that I've paid off the debt? If so, is it automatically sent or do I have to follow a specified protocol? How should I go about this? Thank you, to all that reply.
2 AnswersCredit8 years agoBest time of day to workout (pre buds workout)?
I downloaded the naval special warfare physical training guide on the SEAL/SWCC website. The regiment calls for both cardio and strength training in a day, 6 days a week. Should I run in the morning and follow immediately with strength training or should I wait to strength train in the evening. What is the best combination. My schedule is flexible and I am able to wake up early or stay up late. Thank you to all that reply.
3 AnswersRunning8 years agoJOINING THE NAVY SEALS WITH OWED DEBT?
I was on the way to a SEAL challenge contract about 4 months ago, the day before i went to MEPS my recruiter asked if i owe any sort of money. I told her that i had 2 negative bank accounts, a repossession, and back taxes( only for a year). I was going through very tough times and was barely able to eat each night. She said that i have to start paying each debt back and get a letter from each creditor saying that i am making consistent payments for at least a month or two. I now have a decent paying job and a very loving and helpful family. I only recently got the job so Im beginning to pay each monthly and am able to settle the overdrawn accounts. pardon the rambling, i wanted to paint a picture of my situation clearly. My question is, is my recruiter giving me wrong information, stating that with qualifying ASVAB and PST scores, I will Be able to get a SEAL challenge contract so long as i am making an effort to repay my debts? or will this stop me from getting a security clearance? I have no misdemeanor or criminal record and am currently attending a local university. Thank You for your replies and PLEASE excuse the ramble, Your time and knowledge is a much appreciated gift.
