-But I know now what it would be like to live in a place where there was everlasting praise. So I know what the Christian paradise would look like, feel like. They also have a father and a son who are incarnations of each other. They’re only one short of a trinity. However, even they don’t say that they’ll follow you beyond the grave. You can die and leave North Korea. It’s your only chance.-
Christopher Hitchens, on having visited North Korea.

The people of North Korea have no say at all. It is a dictatorship.
In a way it is a theocracy.
The dictator promotes himself as a God and kills those that do not believe it.
North Korea has got to be one of the worst places on the planet. I wish the world had the moral fortitude to free that country.

Jongun actually does believe in a god by virtue of believing he IS a god, thereby making him an autotheist by definition. Also, their IS a "hell" in Josôngûk Sinjông; that being the volumes of internment compounds throughout. Note: the people may be forbidden to call their country that, but "Josôngûk Sinjông" is their dialectic words for "Theocracy of Korea".

In reality, North Korea is a semi-theocracy, thee religion being Juche. Juche is not inherently religious, but it has been built in the DPRK as a personality cult for the Kim's. There is no official state religion, but that is as close as the nation gets.

You can cry and moan and come up with all the ridiculous examples you want. However it in no way makes up for the fact that you have no evidence to back up the existence of this "God" fellow I hear so much about.

No it isn't a theocracy. Happy now?

It has an official state 'religion' called Juche, which is essentially a 'God King' cult devoted to the ruling family.

Theocracy is almost the same as dictatorship. No, but that is the first closest thing to it.
