Towncar high mileage reliability?
Hello out there, I'm thinking of purchasing a '92 Towncar that's cleaner than clean to include service records. The guy says he'll let it go for $1500, but the issue is with the mileage at 190,xxx. My question is how much "longer" can I drive this beauty before things really start breaking(major components)? I know those 4.6's can go the distance, but with sight unseen, would you trust it? I'm coming reeeal close to getting it, but i'm gonna get him down to about $1300

Lincoln Towncars are used extensively by limo services, and it is not unusual for one to go to 200,000 miles. But they are like any other car - they can and do break down. Did you check the Kelly Blue Book value, and CarFax?
