atheists: why do you think you will win in the long run?

christians are much better organised than atheists and so that means that it is easier for us to get our voices heard in the press and on the tv and it is easier for us to open and to take over schools and make sure there are people who represent our views in politics. when we see dwindling numbers of believers we take action, get together and try and educate the young ones as that is where our future lies and young ones are always willing to listen to the gospel(i was anyway) and not look for faults in the religion. i am pleased to say that there are more religious schools in england than at any time in history and the number is growing, we will again become missionary's to the world.

"...and not look for faults on religion." Bingo...

According to statistics, more and more people are leaving religions and declaring themselves non-religious. It is a given that religion will never truly become extinct, but I think with further scientific research, studies, and discoveries, more people will realize the absurd claims or religion and get on with their lives, and the atheist population will grow. Hopefully less people will be scaring their children into believing in a fictional entity and we will start actually thinking for ourselves. The number or religious schools in a country doesn't mean Christianity is "winning"... Europe has some very atheist countries in its midst. Christianity may be large, but it'll never become "the missionary of the world". All signs point to that.

Yeah but the younger generations are slipping away. Science is getting better, people are becoming more open minded about life and church memberships are suffering as a result. You think that we can understand nearly everything there is to know about the universe and life and then go, "well I will just believe this story about people living 900 years and the talking snake." That worked when the sun rose in the sky by magic, but not so much anymore.

I didn't realise Christians and atheïsts were fighting a war to control the world. But good luck with that. I'll be here living a happy life and inspiring others to make their own decisions as well.

We'll see what the world wants most, your dictatorship or a democracy with free people.

You do not even believe the basics of your own religion. That isn't winning. That is pathetic.

I'm a Christian, but, it's atheists think that there is no God. If there were no God, there position would automatically be true. The only way we would know for sure is to die. If there weer no God, when we die, nothing would happen, other than our end.

Idiocy. Christians don't even agree with each other, let alone with every other religion on the planet. Atheists by definition agree with each other 100% of the time. And then there's that whole "intelligence" thing. We have it, you don't.

Because we don't waste time trying to convert people, nor do we waste time in prayer. All that time can be used for so many other things.

Reason, logic, and the appalling lack of evidence supporting Christian assertions have their own appeal.
