Anyone else notice Kimi being faster than Alonso?

After the first round of testing at Jerez. Kimi posted a faster lap than Alonso. It may not mean much, but still, how could Alonso allow himself to outpaced by his new teammate? Watching these two all season is going to be fun.

no, it's doesn't tell sh*t right now. it is useless comparing times at these first tests.

having said that, i do look forward on how these two will fare. i expect kimi to top the qualifying, but alonso to finish the races better, but who knows, their both champions. i do hope the new ferrari will be good enough...

I certainly did notice. This may have been due to the race engineers having both drivers run different settings in the car for testing reasons but then again maybe not. Hiring Raikkonen again was a brilliant move on Ferrari's part. He's an excellent driver (possibly the best on the grid) and his presence will cause Alonso to step up his pace. It will indeed be fun watching these two this season.

Personally I've always though Kimi has had the skill to win the championship but he has never had the car to do it. It doesn't surprise me that Kimi is faster than Alonso.

It sure will be fun - and I can see Alonso's face being well and truly rubbed in it, assuming the car suits Kimi.

Definitely interesting times ahead - if only in that team!!! Ice man vs the hot headed Alonso. Loving it already.
